Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. I am the new Principal at Byrns Darden Elementary School. I am excited to start the new year getting to know families, students, and the overall community. This is an exciting time to come back to the area where I began my teaching career. My former experiences include: Classroom Teacher, Writing Coach, Academic Coach, and Assistant Principal. I am eager to start my 20th year in education as the Principal at Darden. My goals are to improve instruction, beautify the grounds, build a community connection, and create an engaging environment for all students and teachers. Our staff will be working hard to meet the needs of all students. We encourage parents to be a part of our school and work. The theme for this year is: "Splashing Through the New Year Together"- this includes all stake holders. We welcome our community and will be opening our doors for some wonderful events this year.
