How long must a child be in school to be counted present for the day?
Students must be present 3 hours and 31 minutes total.
How early can I drop my children off?
You may drop off no earlier than 8:35 am.

What do I need to do in order to pick my child up early from school?
You will need to come sign your child out in the office before 3:15. Only those who are on the Emergency Cards with a Photo I.D. will be allowed to pick up students. Your child will be called to the office to join you.
What happens if school is dismissed early?
An emergency school closing form is sent home in the first 9 weeks of the school year. This form allows parents to choose options for their child concerning dismissal procedures for early closing. It must be filled out and will be kept on file by the teacher and the office. Keep your copy readily available. Please listen to the radio and watch the news for information on early dismissal. A phone message will be sent to the primary number on your child’s emergency card notifying you of the time of early dismissal. Please do not call the school. We need to keep the phone lines open for emergency use.
When may I talk to my child's teacher?
Teachers will set appointments to talk to parents before school, after school, or during their planning time. We ask that you write a note in your child's daily agenda requesting an appointment.

What if my child's transportation plans change?
Temporary change: A parent or guardian will need to come into the office with a valid issued ID.Permanent change: A parent or guardian must come in with valid ID and request and fill out a new mode of transportation form through our office. Either changes must be made by 3:15 the day of the change.
What are the enrollment requirements for kindergarten?
Enrollment Requirements * A birth certificate * Physical Examination dated within one year and Immunizations on the TN state form (Available at your Doctor's office or Health Dept.) *2 Proof of residence: Lease,Rental or Mortgage agreement, electric, cable or water bill in a custodial parent/guardian's name. * Proof of custody Kindergarten Information Age Requirements - According to the State Department of Education, (T.C.A. 49-6-201 (b)(3), "children entering kindergarten shall be five (5) years of age on or before August 16th of the current kindergarten term."Tennessee State Law also requires that a student going into the first grade must show proof of attendance in an accredited kindergarten program.
