Test Taking Tips Tuesday with Mrs. Ledford, Art |
Test season is upon us! It is extremely important for our young dolphins to distinguish between a couple very similar words. Even though during TN Ready testing a student will answer the questions and stop after 20 minutes even though they are given 45. They are not “finished” in 20 minutes. They may have answered the questions and they probably even looked over it! |

Thrilling Thursday with Ms. Underwood, Speech. |
How thrilling is it that April Showers will Bring May Flowers?! If it is raining too hard to jump in puddles outside, then jump in puddles inside! Take different colors of paper and help your child cut out different colors and shapes of puddles. By using different colors and shapes, you can slide some learning into your fun. Lay the puddles out on the floor and instruct your child which color puddle and shape to jump on. Happy Jumping! |

Test Taking Tip Tuesday with Ms. Warren Counselor |
Story math problems can be confusing. Practice looking for the clues such as: Addition/Multiplication Clues - How many in all? How many altogether? Subtraction Clues - What is the difference? How many were left? ("eaten", "lost", "given away", "sold", etc.) Division Clues - How many did each have? How many did each get? |

Word of the Week Wednesday with Mrs. Ledford, Art |
It’s almost time for us to send our dolphins on another summer away to explore and learn on their own. It is important they grow and expand their horizons. An important part of that is courage. Courage - the ability to do something that frightens one. |
