Hello Everyone! A great BIG welcome to the new Darden Dolphins and a fabulous year in Kindergarten!!!! I am very excited to have your child in my class this year and look forward to seeing the progress and growth he/she will make. It is an amazing feeling when I see my students get a twinkle in their eye and they develop a love for learning. I absolutely love teaching the little ones. It is where my heart smiles. 🙂 I hope you are as excited as I am about this year! I am originally from Northern Virginia and have lived in Clarksville since 1998. I am a big Tennessee Titans fan :-). I have been teaching Kindergarten at Byrns Darden since 2003. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from APSU in Clarksville and a Master's Degree in Reading from Nova Southeastern University in FL. Let's work together and make this a wonderful year for you and your child. Communication is key to a great school year for all of us.

Hello Kindergarten Families,

In Kindergarten, there will be a lot of information and skills taught/learned all year long. Your child will have a "Take Home Folder" for papers, notes, money, etc. I will send a weekly newsletter that will come home on Mondays and will explain what your child will be learning that week. There will be important dates, homework suggestions, and birthdays.

I also like to use Parent Square as a way of communicating with parents. I will post reminder information on Parent Square as well. You may also text me on Parent Square as a quick way of getting a message to me. If you have any questions or concerns, you may always email me at [email protected], call my school phone at (931) 648-5615 ext. 2707, or write me a note. I look forward to working together with you and your child for a successful school year :-).

Please keep phone numbers updated at all times.

Thank you. Pam Brooks 🙂
