I am starting my 28th year at Byrns Darden. I am married and have two children and 5 grandchildren. I enjoy vacations to the beach, cruises, camping and going to the Smokey Mountains plus spending time with my family & friends. My duties at school are: Make sure all students come to school with attendance taken on a daily basis and issue letters to parents if students have 3, 5 to 10 days absences. Determine students that are out of zone and send them to the correct school. All data entry for Power School which includes processing new students and scheduling them to classes and process withdrawal reports when a student leaves. I upload grades and print report cards. Maintain daily attendance & tardy reports. In the absence of the school nurse I dispense medication to self-administering students. I love my job and enjoy seeing the students smiling faces everyday. I am looking forward to another great school year.
